Margin

Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

Introduction

Margin ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our journaling app.

Data We Collect

Margin is designed with privacy at its core. All journal entries, reflections, and personal writing are stored exclusively on your device and iCloud account. We do not have access to your journal content.

We collect minimal anonymous usage data to improve the app experience, such as crash reports and aggregate feature usage statistics. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.

Local Storage

All your journal data is stored locally on your device only. We do not sync, upload, or back up your data to any server. If you delete the app, your data is permanently removed.

Subscriptions

When you subscribe to Margin Pro, payment is processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive only confirmation of your subscription status — never your payment details.

Third-Party Services

Margin does not share your personal data with third-party advertisers or analytics companies. We use Apple's standard crash reporting for debugging purposes only.

Data Retention

Your journal data lives exclusively on your device. Deleting the app permanently removes all data. We recommend regularly exporting your entries as a backup.

Children's Privacy

Margin is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
